In the Grass, On the Reef has been following the studies of Dr. David Kimbro and Dr. Randall Hughes for the last three years in order to bring their work to a broader audience. Now, we are showcasing other researchers who work to share their science with the public, starting with Sir Harold Kroto.

Dr. Kroto is a professor of chemistry at FSU, know for his Nobel Prize winning discovery of a third form of carbon, C60 Buckminsterfullerene, also known as the "bucky-ball". Dr. Kroto has also won awards for his outreach efforts, focusing on reaching children and promoting an interest in science at a young age.
