Style: Allstate Insurance Co. v. Manasse, No. 89,366

Facts: After suffering an injury in an auto accident, Manasse sued Allstate to recoverbenefits under her uninsured motorist coverage. The jury awarded damages for futuremedical expenses based on permanent injury and past noneconomic damages. Onappeal, the district court of appeal found the jury verdict inadequate in that it failed toaward future noneconomic damages. Allstate seeks review, arguing that the lack of aseparate award of future noneconomic damages is not legally inconsistent with the findingof permanent injury and a need for future medical care.

Issues: (1) Whether the lack of future intangible damages was legally inconsistent or
inadequate.

(2) Whether the plaintiff was required to object to the verdict before discharge of the
jury.

(3) Whether the trial court erred in finding that Allstate's pretrial offer of judgment was
not made in good faith.
