Gus Beckstrom v. Volusia County Canvassing Board After a close Volusia County Sheriff's election in l996, a number of problems were discovered with ballots during canvassing. Despite the problems, the trial court upheld the election results. The Fifth District Court certified the case to the Suprme Court for immediate resolution.
