Judy Buenoano is tentatively scheduled to be executed March 30, 1998, for murdering her husband Sergeant James E. Goodyear in 1971. She was previously tried and convicted of separate but related crimes in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, including the 1980 murder of her son Michael Goodyear. She argues that her execution should be delayed so her counsel can review more than 30,000 pages of federal documents regarding the reliability of FBI forensic tests, and so she can continue public records investigations of materials held by officials in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
