The Florida Civil Rights Initiative is gathering signatures to place on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment ending governmental affirmative action programs in Florida. This petition asks the Court to determine whether the proposed amendment meets minimum legal requirements. These requirements are that the ballot summary must fairly state the purpose of the amendment, and that the amendment itself must contain only a single subject.
