Summary:

Mr. Gll pleaded guilty in county court to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. He was subsequently charged with driving with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender, a third-degree felony. He argued the more serious charge violated his protection against double jeopardy. The circuit court agreed and dismissed the felony charge. The Third District Court of Appeal reversed that ruling, finding double jeopardy was not triggered. This review followed.
