Mr. Sanchez-Torres pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Eric Colon, who was fatally shot during an armed robbery in 2008. Mr. Sanchez-Torres waived his right to a jury during the penalty phase and the trial court condemned him to death. This is his direct appeal.
