Mr. Davis was convicted of the first-degree murder of 2-year-old Caleasha Cunningham, who died in 1992 of cerebral hemorrhage caused by blows to her head. The jury voted 11-1 to recommend a death sentence and the trial court condemned him. This Court upheld the death sentence on direct appeal and Mr. Davis filed a post-conviction challenge in trial court. It was denied and this appeal followed.
