Mr. Jennings was convicted of the first-degree murders of Dorothy Siddle, Vicki Smith and Jason Wiggins, whose throats were slashed during a 1995 robbery at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Naples where they worked. The jury voted 10-2 to recommend a death sentence for each murder and the trial court condemned Mr. Jennings to death. This Court upheld the death sentences on direct appeal and Mr. Jennings filed a post-conviction challenge in trial court. It was denied and this appeal followed.
