Michele Valeri from the Wolf Trap Institute.
Michele Valeri, another Wolf Trap Artist will present a workshop exploring how songs, simple instruments and sound effects can be used to reinforce curriculum topics, enhance creative play, enliven emergent literacy activities, and foster positive transitions. Participants will learn and share songs appropriate for young children to sing, explore strategies for integrating songs and sound effects into the daily schedule—especially as a transition technique and increase their knowledge of how to create experiences that use songs, sound effects and music to frame and guide creative play, to heighten the experience of pretending.
Other Creative Sessions:
Other session topics include incorporating nature into children’s lives; creativity and play with lots of fun take home activities, emerging literacy strategies, media literacy and best business practices. There will also be a special recognition for local childcare professionals.
