September 26th- Cornerstone Learning Community
George visits preschool and first grade for a quick hello with photo options.
George joins kindergarten students in the library as they read numerous Curious
George books.
September 28th- ERCCD and Alumni Village Preschool (FSU)
Curious George will visit both FSU preschools.
WFSU will provide 2 copies of Curious George to each preschool. Curious
George Family Activity Guides are also provided (2/school).
October 4th- Department of Health
Autumn Family Health Fest- internal event for DOH employees
They will have a Read for Health booth displayed promoting "October is Health
Literacy Month" and our current Curious George project
October 5th—Children’s Medical Services
Children’s clinic from 8a.m.-12 p.m. Curious George will visit children who are
sick.
October 6th- Main Library Branch
Friday Story Time. 10:30 a.m.
A Special Storytime dedicated to health. We will read Curious George Goes to
the Hospital and other health-related books.
Free program open to children 3 and older. Main Library Program Room
October 9th-12th- Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend
Woodcrest Office Plaza – 325 John Knox Rd. Building L – suite 201. (The office
is located all the way in the back).
George will visit preschools in all 7 counties that the Early Learning Coalition
serves and will be reading and distributing books.
October 13th- BL Perry Branch Library
2:00-5:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Literacy Volunteers: Read for Health, Florida
Department of Health
Curious George will make appearances and there will be readings of Curious
George Goes to the Hospital Health Fair, Immunization Clinic, Other Booths with health-related info and
materials. Hourly and ongoing Events.
