In Windows you are able to associate certain file types with a particular program. This guide will give you instructions on how to change your file type association. The files that play WFSU's web streams have an extention of ".m3u" and they reference ".mp3" streams.

Step 1
Open the Windows start menu and select "Control Panel".

Step 2
From the Control Panel window, select "Default Programs".

Step 3
Select "Associate a file type or protocol with a program" from the list.

Step 4
From the list, select ".m3u" and then click the "Change Program..." button at the top, a window will pop up.

Step 5
From the window, select the program you would like windows to use. Click "OK".

Step 6
From the list, select ".mp3" and then click the "Change Program..." button at the top, a window will pop up.

Step 7
From the window, select the program you would like windows to use. Click "OK".

Step 8
Close the "Control Panel" window, and you are finished. Open a media file of type .mp3 or m3u to ensure the changes are recognized. You may need to restart your computer for the changes to be complete.
