Del Suggs has been Tallahassee's preeminent singer/ songwriter for decades. He has a history with WFSU music programs dating back to the early 1980s; In 1989 he coordinated a fundraiser for WFSU-TV titled Del Suggs with his Friends for His Friends. The same musicans from that special back him now in his latest endeavor with WFSU, a new episode of outloud that combines footage from 1989 with a new set. Chuck, Danica, and Pete have played with Del for many years, but they've never called this partnership a band- and that's why they're still together. They are friends first and foremost.
Del calls his style "Saltwater music" - music for a good day at the beach, or a relaxing afternoon in North Florida. All but one of the songs was written by Del, the other was written by Danica. After years of playing percussion and harmonizing with Del, she was inspired to start writing her own songs.
