Poetry - Where does poetry come from, and why do we love it? For National Poetry Month, guests will be the remarkable Monifa Love (Monifa will join us from WEAA, the public radio station at Morgan State University, where she coordinates the creative writing program) and Mary Jane Ryals, Poet Laureate of the Big Bend, as will (pre-recorded) Hal Shows and the Java Girls (Mary Jane, Donna Decker, Lynne Knight, Laura Newton and Melanie Rawls).
In addition to hearing some of their work, we'll be talking about what poetry is and where it comes from. Please consider calling in with a poem, either your own or one you admire.
Host: Margie Menzel
