RRS Survey, NE Indiana
The results of an NEIRSS survey of listener
use of technology were interesting to a
national group of RRS coordinators because
of the focus, similarity in ages of listeners
(youngest 22; oldest 97) and extent (large
outreach, low return) of the survey. There
were 167 responders out of 2500 listeners
using a mail survey with responses taken
over the phone or by mail, including follow-
up calls to 400 listeners. The low return
reflects the difficulty of these surveys.
Zero percent of all listeners said they listen
online.

Goodbye
To Matt Crockett, Leroy Rasberry and
Chelsea Roberts. Thanks for your service!
Bill Summers will stay with RRS as a
substitute but he is leaving his Potpourri gig.
Good News on Two Fronts
Two new intrepid (fearless, adventurous)
readers have signed on for the early shift:
Bill Griffin and Matt Roush. Welcome!
Residents at two more Tallahassee assisted-
living and residential centers have started
listening to the Radio Reading Service. That
means more people benefiting from listening
to you, readers of all local papers.
RRS Google Calendar
If you’re interested in the overall picture of
the RRS volunteer schedule and/ or your
own schedule check out the Google
calendar.
Continue to email modaca41@yahoo.com
when you need a substitute. The studio
calendar is for those who don’t want a sub.
The Google calendar serves to let you know
as a sub to notify me when you see an
opening you’d like. Those who read regularly
and have notified
me of an
impending absence
can see if I’ve
registered your
request. And
those who’ve
taken a gig can see
if the calendar
registers that.
Again
We appreciate you!
