Local Classical Programming with Dan MacDonald
Fridays at 12 pm ET
Every Friday at noon, WFSQ airs a special, one-hour showcase of selected classical music favorites. The works are especially chosen to compliment 91.5 WFSQ-FM's regular programming. Listeners will be able to enjoy masterworks of greater duration by composers such as Mahler and Bruckner, as well as frequently requested classics such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and the Great C Major Symphony by Franz Schubert. Showcase may feature live interviews with local personalities involved in area arts activities. NuancesFridays at 7 pm ET
Nuances is a classical music show which is locally produced at WFSQ-FM. It is well known for its philosophy of programming sensative and bold works which may trade places with the familiar and unusual. Music is interspersed with a "Puzzler" or a live interview with notable artists. Lighter moments may include children's thoughts about music or a "Poet's Corner." Nuances is an hour show which airs Fridays at 7:00 PM ET. Ths show may be extended to accomodate locally-produced concerts and the works of local composers such as Ernst Von Dohnanyi, Ellen Taafe Zlwilich, Harold Schiffman and historically-significant documentaries such as "Conversations With Edward Kilenyi."
