For the past two years, WFSU through the American Graduate program has been working with students at the Success Academy at Ghazvini Learning Center.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a leadership program and participate in monthly professional networking lunches to learn from community leaders about future career possibilities.

The Success Academy is a blended learning curriculum where students work online and with a teacher to catch up and ensure graduation.

In May of 2013, 32 students earned their high school diploma.

Schools like the Success Academy provide a necessary alternative for some students to find a path to graduation.

WFSU talks with some of the recent graduates.
