On May 22, 1988, the body of Karen Kulik was found in the middle of Masterpiece Gardens Road in Polk County. Green was convicted and sentenced to death. The Court originally heard his appeal April 8, 1997, but later asked attorneys to file supplemental briefs. New oral argument was set for January 1998.
